How to help
Enough is Enough
The animals of Austin Zoo have suffered greatly over the past 10 years and it's time for a positive change in management. It's our duty to make sure these rescue animals are treated with the respect and competent care they deserve. You can help bring these reformations to Austin Zoo.
Patti Clark has stepped down as President of the Board, but she is still the Director of the Zoo and the original Board Members who were complicit in the animal and employee mistreatment are still in control. She has also filled the board with more of her friends and vendors who will only continue to follow her orders. Nothing has changed, so we must DEMAND change. We need a new board, new leadership, and a new future!
Who to Contact
Below is the contact information for pertinent elected officials who may be able to instill new responsible leadership at Austin Zoo. Please contact them and let them know that you will not stand for the current leadership at Austin Zoo. The animals of Austin Zoo, the city of Austin, and it's citizens deserve better!

If you don't know what to say to the officials, feel free to repeat/copy and paste this message:

"I am contacting you in support of the animals, zookeepers, and veterinarians of Austin Zoo. It is unacceptable that a rescue zoo is run by an Executive Director and Board of Directors that, according to a staggering number of current and former employees (30 zookeepers and staff), cause animal suffering and are complicit it allowing it to continue. As a caring citizen of Austin and/or the general public I strongly urge you to assist in the implementation of the following requests from their petition to help make Austin Zoo the rescue facility it was meant to be:
